Lutheran Services in America

Lutheran Services in America is a national nonprofit organization that was founded in 1997 by 300 Lutheran health and human services nonprofit organizations, along with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) and The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS).

Our goal is to achieve a healthier and more equitable future for people and communities in the United States. Our national network, which consists of 300 organizations in 1,400 communities, reaches one in 50 people in America each year.

We leverage our shared values, trust, and heritage to mobilize our network with strategic partners from various sectors to drive innovation and systemic change. We also advocate for policy matters that affect those in need, and design and implement projects to address complex societal issues.
