The Memphis Shelby Police Activities League (PAL) aims to foster positive attitudes towards the law among young people by connecting them with law enforcement officers who act as coaches, referees, and mentors.

The program helps youth develop good character and a desire to succeed, while also working to bridge the achievement gap and prevent juvenile crime. We offer a variety of accessible and affordable programs for children aged 5-18. Our programs are based on six core strategies: Education, Discovery, Mentoring, Sports, Intervention, and Healthy Lifestyles. We provide year-round and seasonal sports activities such as Football, Cheerleading, Basketball, Baseball/Softball, Track & Field, and Boxing.

The Mentoring Program pairs young individuals, ages 8-13 and 14-18, with caring and experienced mentors who encourage positive choices and social interactions. Mentors are responsible for monitoring the well-being of their assigned youth, providing guidance, developing life skills, and promoting high self-esteem.

The Education Program focuses on promoting academic proficiency and intellectual growth through individual and group learning, with a focus on homework assistance, tutoring, and monitoring students’ grades and conduct.
